mdstewartWolves
Yes, the topic of discussion here in Chattanooga on our local talk radio show 102.3 is the issue with wolves in the upper Rockies, souther Canada, and MN/Wis/MI.
It was, as again, the fight between the so called bunny huggers (the Western Version, here we call them the Tree Huggers) and the conservationists / environmentalists. In every single occasion quoted by this very reputable host, the conservationalist / environvmetalist believe that we need to control the wolves via hunting and other measures to keep the eco balance.
The major issue with wolves is they have no natural predators left except the environment itself, which is not substancial enought to control the constant breeding of this species.
Wolves need to be hunted and humanly controlled, and the science backs this 100%.
Hunters, more so than any other group in America, want to maintain a balance so that all of America's animals are sustained and can be used for sightseeing, sustenance, sporting, and any other reason one may think of.
We have to drown out the bunny=huggers with science. It is science afterall that proves the difference between facts and folklore.

SoloI like listening to Tony Sanders when I can catch him, though most of the time I'm in the woods or on the water when his show airs.

mdstewartI like Tony as well, and he is doing all he can for the Chattanooga area. He and Rob Prytula are a great pair (and I'm sure you remember
Rob worked for me for many years as a fly-fishing specialisist).
I just wish they would get a reasonable time slot for their program. 5:00am just doesn't get it; even for die hards like me.
