Why gun safety is so important
New gun, safety on, no trigger pull, gun goes off every time.

I had a simular experience with a semi-auto rifle years ago.It was a H&R Ultra -auto in 308.I was at a Rifle range and put a cartridge in the chamber pointed down range.Safety was on .I lined the scope up with the target, took the safety off and it fired.Almost crapped my pants.Never ,ever depend on a manual safety. OLBIKER - had that happen with my own Browning 22 pistol. Fired as you released the safety [after trying the safety] !!! Happened with no ammo in the gun, very scarey just the same .After ? Every gun I worked on I checked for the problem. Eeker

I wonder what is making the shotgun fire? Unless the firing pin is protruding, which should be easily seen, something else is firing it.

You can hear the shotgun click when the trigger is pulled after it has fired.
