Putting together a family vacation for New Orleans in late April and would like to add a little hunting on if possible?

Don't know when turkey opens in LA but I'm guessing around Apr. I lived in FL for several years and you can hunt hogs there year round and the FL Panhandle is only a 3 hr drive from the Big Easy.

Not sure when allagator season is, but might be a possibility.

Mike is right. The inshore fishing south of New Orleans is fantastic. We normally make a trip or two down to Venice each year. At times the action on the redfish and speckled trout is unbelievable. One day we landed 300 redfish in about 7 hours.
