Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.

I would put my money on one of the 165gr HE loads from Federal or Hornady, which ever load shoots best in your rifle.

I'll be sheep hunting next fall (if I don't paste one next week) with an 06. My bullet of choice (barring poor accuracy) will be the 168 TSX. In fact, if it shoots like I expect it to, I'd hunt everything, under any condition, with that bullet.

for sheep the 165 is fine, but for goat too. i would use 180.

i like feeral h.e. 180 n.p., kills critters dead. goats can take a pounding that would put sheep right down.
