deer hunting this morning a coyote comes to a fawn bleat and meets a 150 partition at 3650 head on.
what a mess.looked like he swallowed a grenade.

Some years ago research was done on coyote predation on young fawns in south Texas. They concluded that coyotes take 50% of young fawns in south Texas. Now who would have thought they were that hard on young fawn survival? However, if there is plenty of food for the deer, their population will still increase dispite the predation.
