300RUM 200 Sierra MK on Tn whitetails
fired 6 shots from 45 to 463 yards at 5 does and 1 smllish 8 pointer.everything was hit behind the shoulder broadside ,just like I would take a bow shot.2 deer ran 50 yrds or less and I couldnt tell a difference in the wound channel on either deer.

the load is going 3190 fps, zeroed at 300,8 low at 400,and 23 low at 500,checked on target,no chart geussing.I am going to keep using the bullet until it does something besides what it is doing.I am anxious to see what it will do on a hard quartering way shot where it will hae to enter back ham and exit the chest.I am shooting alot of does in this expierment.plan to have 20 tests run by seasons end.
one thing for sure, that bullet hits where the crosshairs are when the trigger breaks.

Mr Big,

good work, I am loading the 200 Nos AB to around the same speeds in my rem pss I have had exits on larger thin skineed animals after hitting some heavy bone and exiting out the midriff with these bullets instant lights out, as well the .300 RUM is an excellent killer !!

While I have no doubt the big 200 grainer will kill a deer, I have to ask why when there are so many other (and better suited) bullets out there. This topic has been beaten to death. But the bottom line is this: the MANUFACTURER recommends that you do not use them on game. Perhaps they know a thing or two about bullets, heh???

Oh weird the .300 ultra mag shooting 200 grain bullets is devastating on deer. What exactly did you think was going to happen?

I once did the same experiements, to see if match bullets would preform the way premium hunting bullets do with all the accuracy. Problem is premium bullets now have match accuracy. You are asking a bullet to do what it is NOT designed to do. I have to agree with BT in asking whats the point.
