I was just notified that I have two Archery mule deer tags for unit 86. I have hunted this area for 15 years and see a lot of nice to great mule deer. This unit takes 9 to 10 preference points to hunt the early season rifle. I would like two serious archery hunters to horseback and hunt hard for 6 full days guided. I feel we should be able to harvest a 160 to 190 plus mulie in velvet. The bucks are usually at timber line late August early September and that is where we would be hunting. I am going to do a fully guided hunt for $1850.00. You can buy an over the counter elk tag and pay a kill fee of $800.00 if you harvest an elk.

Sounds like a great hunt, but I don't think they will be in velvet that late.
