hey fella's just imagining carrying a big sendero 25-06 in to the field deer hunting, no i don't have too walk very far nor will i be stalking just want to know how they measure up as far as accuracy, we don't sell that many around here but i myself don't mind a heavy rifle
by the way this will be used for whitetail only no grizzlies or cape buffalo

I know of a couple of people who use sendero's and are very pleased with them.They are very accurate as factory rifles go and other than being a little heavy for long distance walking they make fine huntig rifles.

I carry an 10.75# rifle all over creation, and that's more than a sendero. In heavy brush, down roads, long stalks and short. 416 remingtion.

From my limited experience (three stainless Sendero's) all have shot very well. I use my 338 ultra in the high mountains of New Mexico for elk and carry that rifle all day, they are heavier then most sporters but not enough to really make a negative difference.

I had my 300 win mag rebarreled to 7mm STW and that barrel is heavier and thicker then the stock sendero barrel it's 27 inches long and I use it for deer and antelope. Weight about 12 pounds with scope.

Yes it's heavier than the typical hunting rifle. It's also more accurate than the typical hunting rifle. I look at my Sendero as a specialized long range hunting rifle, although I've also used it for varmints. Mine is a 7mm Rem mag with a 6.5-20x Leupold. I broke in the barrel with Tubb Final Finish bullets. My handloaded 175 grain Sierras are doing nearly 3000 fps and shooting at or under 1/2" at 100 yards when I do my part. Better yet, the groups are still under 4" at 500 yards! I like the Sendero, it fills a niche. Guy

I've got a Sendero in 7mm Rem mag. It is VERY accurate with the right load. It seems to like 160 grain bullets the best and will shoot them in 2cm groups at 100m if I do my part. Lighter weight bullets like 140 grains just don't do well in this rifle. As for weight, I actually prefer it since it is easier to aim and shoot offhand, though I reckon I would not want to carry it all day hunting high in the mountains.

I've got two Senderos. One in 25/06 and one in 7MM Rem Mag. Both shoot less than MOA all day. Love them. Weight not really a problem when you consider the accuracy.

My experiences with my Sendero in 300 Win Mag parallel what everyone else is saying. It's gone six for six on deer and even rolled a prarie dog off his mound at 3/4 mile. I don't mind the weight at all for an accurate rifle.
