Anyone have any experience with the current generation Winchester M70 Supergrades? I am looking at one in either .300 Winchester or .338 Winchester.

Love 'em. I have two 30-06 Supergrades that are tack drivers. Beautiful wood. One of the best values on the market today. You won't go wrong.

I also purchased two Super Grade classics in the last few months. One in 30-06 and the other in 264 win mag (just for the heck of it) and they both shoot great and are good looking, practical rifles. My safari express classic (416 rem)however is another story. The front sight was missing the ivory bead and the rear sight was loose and the screw tightly stuck. I had to mill the head of the screw off to remove the sight.The folks at winchester never even answered my email(I called too but I'll spare all on that). Look the rife over very carefully (I ordered mine)before you buy it since you will get little or no help from Winchester/USRA.I would not hesitate to buy another in spite of their poor service. I've owned two current generation M70 Supergrades. As mentioned, both had awsome wood and the .338 Win Mag would shoot cloverleafs at 100 yards. My 30-06 is my go-to rifle and while not a tack driver, is certainly capable of sub-MOA groups. Only complaint is the triggers...crisp but heavy.
I also own a M70FWT in .300 WSM and it had to go back to the factory because it would mis-feed the 2d round in the magazine. Winchester replaced the receiver and had the gun back to me in 3 weeks. It shoots like a dream after I removed the pressure point and it wasn't all that bad with the pressure point.
Personally, I think the curret crop of M70s are the best production guns on the market.
I'm currently drooling over a M70 Supergrade with awesome walnut in .270 Winchester.
