buckeyeshooterThe way my luck goes, he would have been crapping in my back yard when I got home, then turned and walked into the park across the street.

CrazyhorseconsultingI am sorry, I thought this was about what a person's Dream Bull Elk would be and I was gonna say a legal one about 100 yards uphill from camp on opening morning.

Really great looking bull, Thanks for sharing the pictures.
Even the rocks don't last forever.

bull grosses 422.6 and nets out 410
skull and horns weigh 57 lbs
41 inches of mass per side.
2 weeks after he was killed there were 8
mature 6 pt. bulls that had taken over his harem
simply the largest wild bull i have ever laid my eyes on. enjoy

" If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand which feeds you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countryman " Samuel Adams, 1772

That is an incredible bull.
Wyoming has it right when it comes to elk management. I enjoy hunting mature bulls in WY every other year during the rut. Always a chance to shoot herd bulls.
Thanks for the follow-up photos.

I heard about this bull from the game warden out of Worland that acually checked that bull in. He told me about this bull while I was up bowhunting in the Bighorns this fall. He stated the same thing you did that it was a 427 class bull and it was the biggest bull he had ever seen.
I can't believe the wolves didn't get that big bull. Thanks for sharing the picture's and how was you're trip to New Mexico, were you Bear hunting again?

Fish30114Holy Moley Ravenr! That is a dream bull for sure!
If you had been 'home' would you have been hunting the area where you spotted him?--not trying to rub it in, just figure that would be my luck, I would have been hunting right where I saw him on my way back home, if I'd of stayed!

Sometimes pictures like these need to be posted in the 30-06 vs. 300 Win. Mag. posts...
