savage 116 in 300 Rem ulta mag

anyone have any experience with the savage 116? I am considering one in 300 ultra mag.
looking for accuracy, shootability, etc. I can get one used locally for $425. also, how well does the "switchable" on/off muzzle brake work? is the barrel 26" (actual 26" or including brake.

Don't know about the caliber, but the gun is awsome. Dollar fo dollar you can't beat them! Just my opinion and other than T/C Encore is the rifle for me. Good shooting!

I like my m/111 in 300wm. Had a fixed muzzle brake installed and like that fine too.
