Wendell ReichCan't put them in LA ... you guys would eat them all!
That would be pretty cool to have Tahr, Chamois, Roe Deer, etc.
We (USA) have done stocking of certain exotic animals in the US. Some intentional, some unintentional.
Feral Hogs
Aoudad (Stocked by TXP&W)
Ibex (Intentional, New Mexico .. Corona Mts???)
Nilgai (Intentional stocked on King Ranch and they spread)
In the Hill Country of TX, you have no idea what you might find running wild.
Axis are very abundant
Fallow
Blackbuck
Red Deer
Sika Deer
Aoudad
Corsican
Mouflon mixes
I know of a rancher who has a low fenced ranch in TX that has released Ibex and Red Stag. They are doing well and reproducing.
I have personally, unintentionally, stocked a certain Northwest Texas tri-county area with Aoudad and Axis Deer.
Oops.
Your welcome.
