On your Newfie hunt did you do a fly-in hunt?Or did you
drive to camp and hunt from there?Nefie is a great hunt
IF you go fly-in with a good outfit. The Newfie guides are
some of the best guys to hunt with and I love the people
on the island.Did you have a bad hunt or did you just not
like the hunting.
For dollar wise Newfie offers alot.No you will not kill a
60" bull moose but a 40'ish is possible.
Now your back to the same debate between Alaska vs NWT vs
Yukon if you are looking to kill a 60" moose.NWT/Yukon
offers superior hunting with great bulls at a premium.
Alaska still offers good moose hunting on very good bulls
IF you book with a good outfit...However Generally good
moose habitat is not good caribou habitat,so you have to
decide priorities.
If I were on a tight budget for combo moose/bou...Newfoundland.

Yeah, Jeff I got a bear and I saw a bunch of Moose and Caribou. It was a drive in hunt and I loved the country, I enjoyed hunting with the guide I had. I know "one bad apple...." but I hunted with Dave Thomas out of Bishop Falls. I don't recommend him and will leave it at that.. Moose size is also part of it. I'm not looking for 60"+, but would be happy with a mid 40" to mid 50" bull. Plus I've been to Newfoundland and to me seeing new parts of the world is part of the fun. So all in all I'm not in a hurry to go back. Before we do that, we'll go to Quebec Caribou hunting and I'll go to either Alberta or British Columbia Moose hunting. We just thought we'd look into killing two birds with one stone.
