Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.
Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

CrazyhorseconsultingJ unlike some folks I was not trying to make a point. I just find it funny that someone has taken the time to put titles on the two schools of modern hunting writers.

dellorothe piece is spot-on.
I would only change the part where the tactard is lying about facing 20 insurgents with a j-frame and a multi-tool. most tactards are not ex-mil, and would not own an antique (revolver). instead, they will lie about constantly shooting .5 MOA groups from their middie 14.5 with a Donut of Death ACOG and mk 262.

Matt NormanSo if you don't fit into either category...does that mean you're a 'Fuddtard'?

I think it may mean a person is probably normal.
I only get a couple of magazines anymore and never do really look at them and rarely ever watch any hunting shows.
