kldELK bugling hunt
Please give me some info on the best ranch/area to rifle hunt while the elk are bugling. Would a private ranch/reservation be the best option? Thanks kld

COYOTE HUNTERA quality CWMU in Utah would be a good bet.
Do you have a budget in mind?

graybirdLook at the Hill Ranch in southern Colorado. Don't be surprised with the sticker shock though.

Jason PI suggested that he buy the permit as
He is a non-resident and cannot apply for a
CWMU.

AtkinsonA bow hunt in Idaho is the rut hunt..Somewere North of Sun Valley..Around SAlmon, on the montana border, anywhere there I timber..
My pick would be a Unit 54 rut hunt for a 100% on a big bull, rut or no rut its probably a draw hunt for archery and I know it is for rifle. ..I put in for bull elk every year to go with my depredations tag for a cow..Hard to draw a bull, but a rancher friend gives me a cow permit every year. depredation cows don't count for a kill, Im 100% on cow elk.. You still get your bull or regular cow tag on regular hunts. So you can get two cows that way, but I have not done that as one cow is a years worth of meat for me and mama, along with a deer or two after the kids raid the freezer from time to time/..
