Dog ManBull and a Buck
Lots of great reports / pictures of members recent hunts, so I thought I'd share my hunts of this past week.
I killed this bull just 12 miles from my front door.
375 H&H with 260gr Accubonds put the hammer down.
I still had a deer tag and went solo up north about 170 miles on the annual late buck rut hunt.
There can be lots of mountain walking on this one and the weather was dang cold (8 degrees F.)
I used my usual 30-06 with 165gr Nosler BT's. Saw a doe bedded down and after about 20 minutes of glassing, I found this buck about 50 yards away, also bedded. At the shot he stood up and I quickly shot him twice more. Luckily I didn't hit hindquarters or backstraps.
The freezer is full, and I am damn happy.

Dog ManThanks everyone.
The meat photo is the one I'm most proud of.
Meals with family, made from game I've taken has always been a huge part of my desire to hunt/fish. I sawed up those ribs into smaller racks and boy, on the Traeger they were very good.
