But wouldn't it be easier to just get out the FN Mauser prints and begin making them again?

Brian, USRAC can call it whatever they like, but this modification was necessary to make a cheap action (for the Wally World Guns) that would handle the WSM's. The sales pitch was dreamt up after it was designed... actually, I think it's quite a brilliant design.

Excellent point on the FN actions. I really am surprised that someone hasn't been using that tooling! I can't imagine anything finer that those old 400 Supremes. I smell a business opportunity here..
