OLBIKERThey found bones of Caucasians in Oregon predating Indian bones.The natives were pissed.
A little east of Barstow is a somewhat controversial dig where there were stone tools found in a layer of earth that is 200,000 years old.
The style of the stone tools is said to be only 20,000 years old, though.

slim buttesThat is called science. We get new information/evidence that adds more to our knowledge. In science one needs to understand that ones theory could be proven incorrect. Good science is reviewed by peers and open to scrutiny.
And this new information only suggests an earlier date it doesn't debunk any theory human migration only the dates it occurred.
Lastly OLBIKER, I believe you are referring to Kennewick Man, found in WA state. After DNA testing the evidence suggests not "Caucasian" (European). If you were not referring to Kennewick man, please post a reference. After reading your post I did a Google search for "Oregon caucasian bones found before native americans", lots of links to Kennewick Man and then I went to the Wikipedia page regarding Kennewick man. Now others could look to see how I came up with my information and do their own research. Kind of like science.
The problem is people really don't understand that in science being wrong is just as important as being right, it adds to the body of knowledge.

You are probably right.My mind has all kinds of useless information stored in it that pops out occasionally.

Too bad too many folks do not grasp that concept, Global Warming comes to mind.

CrazyhorseconsultingCould be wrong about this, but in archaeological digs, the base strata the specimens are found on are not really considered in aging the specimens, the layers of material covering the specimens are the important indicators. The Bed Rock/Base Rock will be much older, but time and weathering since the artifacts were left are part of what is used to determine the time frame.
Even the rocks don't last forever.
