Happy Syttende Mai!
Owing to the international nature of our BB, I thought I'd offer a "Happy Indedpendence Day" to our many Norwegian brothers that frequent this site... Happy May 17!
Brad Amundson
Thank you very much, Brad!!

You're welcome!
Many years ago I had the wonderful experience of being in Bergen on Syttende Mai with my brother. Being 5th generation Norwegian-American's it was a lot of fun. My brother's birthday also happens to be May 17th... he was treated like a prince!

Arild IversenThank you Brad...
We celebrated in high style as always !!
A bit late but... there wasnt much going on here yeaterday.
Norway is pretty young country. Got our Constitution the 17th of May in 1814, and finally our independent from Sweden in 1905. Been under Danish and Swedish rule for hundreds of years.
Ole and Lena ??? Is that some Norwegian / American joke?
Have not heard of them over here in the old country.
