DLH4570Wyoming Pronghorn
Does anyone have experience hunting Pronghorn on the "Thunder Basin Nat. Grasslands"? Are there Lopes there is there access to the Public hunting?

farbedoFair hunting, lots of walking. Access in unit 27 is good, but there are also lots of hunters. The antelope are skittish as hell after the first couple of days. You may have to pack the animal or cart them out a fair distance. You can't drive around like on BLM.
What are you looking for in an antelope hunt? Just get out and shoot anything, or do you want something for the wall?

So you're the jerk who ruined my antelope hunt last year!! Last time I checked, there were motor vehicle restrictions on BLM too...

farbedoI guess I should have stated this more clearly. There are lots of existing roads on most BLM and you can get most anywhere you need to in a legal on-road fashion. National Forest/Grassland is managed differently and has more limited road access. The two aren't comparable in my mind access wise.
Wasn't me. If last year is 2013, my vacation went to elk in NM. If it was 2012...was the guy on a 4 wheeler wearing an orange ball cap??? I saw that guy all over the place. Decidedly annoying, but that's the game you play on public land.
