<magnarps>9,3x64 Brenneke loads used on moose.
Hello.
Can some of you help me with a nice load for my 9,3x64 rifle? I will use it on scandinavian moose. What kind of bullets do you suggest, and at what velocity? The reason for this question is that I have just recieved the rifle back from the smith, and I have never used this caliber on moose before, and I don't want to ruin the animal completly since we use it for food.
Hope someone out there can help me. Thanks.

<Daryl Elder>The 286gr. Nosler partition works great. The Barnes-X in 286gr. is also a very good bullet. The 9.3x64 requires a fairly quick powder such as Reloader15, Varget, IMR4064&4895; the heavier the bullet, the slower the powder, of course. Some European data I have uses R903, R904, IMR4350, N140, N160. 'R' is Rottweil, I believe. What action/barrel length did you use?

<magnarps>It's build on a Mauser 98 action, and the barrel is 25 1/4" long, and with 1 in 14" twist
