I have a chance for a private land hunt outside of Maybell for this year. Anyone know anything about this area for Trophy Quality. I have hunted Elk in the Craig area before but don't know much about the pronghorn in the area.

Depends on where out of Maybell, unit 11 takes 9-10 points to draw, I know cuz my brother and I drew those tags this year. Unit 11 gives out 68 tags total for bucks including private land, residents and non residents. Trophy quality is about as good as it gets in the state of Colorado. Not quite like some primo units in AZ and NM but good nonetheless.
Which ranch and which unit?

Snellstrom, I'm not sure of the ranch but I think it's in unit 3 or 301. Friend of mine called with the last minute offer of the hunt. I'm going just trying to get a little more than what we talked about with a quick phone call.

Unfamiliar with that unit (I shoot goats in 121) but if Snell says you got lucky, sounds like you're in for a good hunt
