Its a great website you guys have as well. I was trying to remember some of my Arabic (see above - but got the spelling wrong I think). I used to work as a tour guide (one of my travelling jobs a few years ago) taking aussie & NZ backpackers on 6 week tours through Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, Iran (& vice versa).

I love the Middle East and the Muslim people are all fantastic. So warm, so friendly and so family oriented - its just a pity that all westerners don't get the opportunity to travel to the middle east and see this truth for themselves. Unfortunately I did'nt get to UAE or Saudi or Iraq but plan to one day.

I also ran 10 week overland truck tours between Nairobi (Nairobbery!! lol) and Cape Town (via the Gorillas in Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia & RSA). Apart from getting pretty bad malaria at one stage (thankfully not the re-occuring strain), I only really got a chance to do some hunting in RSA and Tanzania. We shot some springbok and some warthogs only (as thats all I could afford).

Before going to Africa I was always anti-shooting elephants, zebra, lion etc...however working in Africa changed my mind. I saw first hand how the numbers of these animals (and others like them) have ballooned, and its great that foreign hunters can go in there and pay BIG $$$$ to help cull these animals in a responsible way. The BIG $$$$ you guys pay helps build local schools, water holes and many other infrastructure services, so I'm all for it as long as its done responsibly and with tight controls.
