BLR7,

I suspect either the image has been pulled off the original host site or you have the addy wrong...Bring the image up and right click on it and then click "properties"..you should see and address similar to the one you posted but ending in ".jpeg"..thats thats what you need to copy and paste into the image box to get it to appear here.

Regards,

Pete

I had a buddy of mine from Texas e-mail a pic of JJ's friend's cat last week. I'm betting it is.

If it is the cat on the cat I am thinking of then it is not a TX cat, it was killed in WA. Does the guy have sweatpants on? If so its the WA kitty not a TX kitty.

Here is a story from the B&C website:

One Big Cat

February 7, 2004

2/6/04 Kansas, Iowa, Texas, Pennsylvania? this cougar sure is getting around. We've received numerous emails asking about the story behind this B&C Trophy. Here's the skinny posed in TrophyWatch last January:

The big tom was taken by Ron Hisler from Duval, WA, with one shot from a .30-06 shooting Barnes X bullets. His partner, Jim Hackewitz used a varmint call to bring in the big cat taken within 6 miles of Bellevue, WA. Bellevue is a major suburb of Seattle. Washington voters passed a bill banning the hunting of cougars with dogs a few years back. Good idea?

UPDATE: Unofficial score 15-12/16, which would be in a 6-way tie for #7 all-time. Included in this list is a 15-12/16 tom taken by the only American President in the records book Boone and Crockett Club Founder, Theodore Roosevelt, which when entered was the World's Record at that time. Roosevelt took his cougar near Meeker, CO, in 1901.

4/30/03 UPDATE: The official entry score for this cougar is 15-7/16.

sorry, but if it's the same one I'm thinking of....it wasn't killed in Junction.

The pic is of a huge cougar killed 20 miles west of JUnction , Texas. I don't know who the man was that
killed this thing because it was forwarded to me by a
relative. The guy is over 6 ft tall and the cat is as
long as he is tall. I tried posting the forwarded pic
on Yahoo album site viewable to public at the above address
because he is worth the trouble to see this unbelievable
sized cat! Hope you guys can see it!

Sorry gentlemen, I've been had by an e-mail which proves once again that you can't believe everything you read or see
on the internet. I thought it strange that no one else from
Texas had posted it yet. I'll e-mail the originator of the
picture and see what they have to say about this whole thing! I don't know these people but I'd like to hear what
they have to say about it. My appologies to the forum.BLR7
