Save an elk...
Comments being taken by US Fish & Game-

"SUMMARY: We, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) have prepared
a draft environmental assessment (EA) of our proposal to revise the
2005 special rule for the central Idaho and Yellowstone area
nonessential experimental populations of the gray wolf (Canis lupus) in
the northern Rocky Mountains.
The Service is reopening the comment period for the proposed
revisions to the 2005 special rule to allow all interested parties to
comment simultaneously on the proposed revisions and the draft EA. If
you have previously submitted comments on the proposed revisions, you
do not need to resubmit them because those comments have been
incorporated into the public record and will be fully considered in our
final decision."

Wolf proponents claim they have sent 100,000 emails thus far and plan to send another 100,000 to stop FWP. You have 3 weeks to comment. Sorry if this offends any wolf lovers.

I just got back from giving a talk at Oxford University and am teaching this semester. The summer field season was awesome!

We are getting geared up for the winter field season starting in December and hope to get 4 or 5 males collared.

Lots of kittens this summer and last, though. Should be a good crop for the hunters this winter.....

What a way to spend my time...... Smiler

Sounds fun! I tell you there are cats every where anymore. We had one accross the street two weeks ago. My neighbors 25 year old daughter watched it walk across the back yard and down the street. G&F confirmed the tracks. There is also one in and out of Thermopolis and in Jackson. THe one in Thermop has been seen by police officers in town. I think all three are younger cats, but still shows how there range is either expanding or maybe food supplies are better in town! Big Grin
