Sonoran Cougars
About a month back I took a brief patrol around a section of my deer ranch and spotted two of them right from the truck, one of them stood still and allowed me to shakily snap a few hurried pictures, just thought you might enjoy them..

That was my first thought and actually got worried, but they seemed to be just passing by, I haven't seen their tracks in any of our water holes. I believe it is part of a healthy environment be able to see predators as long as they are in controlled numbers, and as we don't have coyotes at all those are actually the first predators I have seen in the ranch.

From all the greenery it looks like you've had a good year in Sonora.

I agree that an appropriate population of predators is part of a healthy environment. We have practically no predators in Central Texas so our deer are mostly the size of big rabbits.
