SkibumAnother First
Yesterday was my 14 year old's first firearm opener. He took this doe with his .50 T/C Omega at 50 yards. He couldn't have been happier if it had been a monster 10 point and I couldn't have been any prouder.

DocThat is very cool. I really must admit, I enjoy seeing all of the kids pictures with their kills.
50 yards is a great start. I'm sure he has built up a good level of confidence now for future hunts.
Congrats to your son and you!

Dr. DucCongratulations. I was a little younger when I got my first but I still remember bringing it home and hanging it from a swing and skinning it.
My mother never did believe I shot it.
It was a 110 # spike- not a bad size for Fla in those days.
