Needle Rock Outfitters
Anyone have any experience with Needle Rock Outfitters in Colorado, possibly looking at a 3rd season mule deer hunt in Unit 63 with them ?

WOW!
I've never heard of any outfit in CO
charging trophy fee's by the points.

I'd bet you're gonna be unhappy if you
kill a big buck. Unless you've got money to burn.

Best of luck though,

George

I hate to think it is probably the future of private land hunting.

"If you shoot Fred with stickers, it'll be an extra $5500 as I was saving him my for son in law, as I think he'll go 180 next year".

Unless you have the cash to blow, there are probably other ranches without the drama of the Boone and Crocket score premium.

For years now on many of the private hunting ranches in Texas, the guide accompanies the "hunter" in the blind with a binder with pictures of the individual deer, with pertinent data - including an estimated B&C score - and its current price. When the feeder goes off and the deer are drawn to the magic sound, it is a matter of locating the buck you can afford, while the guide quotes the price and encourages an "upgrade" to a more expensive buck.

This puts money in their pockets, but will ultimately spell the end of hunting as the rest of us among the poor, unwashed masses know it...

Acer,

It is not unknown in Europe.

New Mexico has a high fence mule deer ranch, I don't remember the name of it but I watched a video of a guy hunting there a couple years ago.

Hunting individual animals with price per inch out of a catalog is not for me.

The rest of us call this shooting not hunting.
