Yeah well, the picture was taken at roughly 860 yards with my camera. I did the best I could.
Just take a look at the difference in the body size between the two bucks.
Not only did he dwarf his buddies in headgear, but also in the body size department.

Camera was a Canon SX280 HS with a 20X optical zoom.
No spotting scope, left it at the house because I was bear hunting. So, what you are seeing was all done by the camera alone. I did crop the picture a bit.
I laid the camera across the top of my pack to steady it as much as possible.
Yep, it is true, I was unprepared to be a photographer that morning.
