Haven't you guys figured it out yet??????? RMK, Mortie, and BallBuster are all the same person. They're a 14 year old girl sneaking a go on her mommy's 'puter. If you look at the syntax and intelligence level, its pretty plain.

RMK, your knowledge of proctology seems expansive, excessive even. Is that why you wear yours up around your shoulders?

That is why the Alaska F&G on their web site says to NEVER use a firearm against a bear...only pepper spray.

I guess they are a bunch of dumbasses like me too.

Actually, the site you linked to never said anything of the kind. It did however say that a 300 magnum or shotgun was a minimum protection for bears. It went on and carried out the theme that "inexperienced hands are not for pepper spray or firearms", and that "in order to avoid causing the problem in the first place one would be best served by employing a common sense attitude" (My paraphrase; my quotes.)
Not that it matters that this "grandpa" has spent all of his life (other than the first 3 years thereof) in Alaska bear country (added for flavor )...but in my time, I have never seen a pepper spray container on the person of any state or federal wildlife officer. I do see large handguns and 12 gauge shotguns to the man (or woman) at all times. Makes one wonder, eh? I guess that the answer to the second part of your question is no....
