Bob in TXBoth Clay Pope and Jeremy Gugelmeyer offer excellent Texas panhandle pronghorn hunts. I think they may each have a couple of spots left:

MARK H. YOUNGAustin Hunter,
Do you think $1950 is a lot for a 3 day fully guided antelope hunt that offers B&C potential?

Equinsu OchaTX expensive?? Not even close.. Just ask the non-residents who have 20+ points here in AZ how much they'll have invested in their pronghorn by the time they draw and finish the hunt!!

No, not really, particularly if you're interested in that tropy. For that much money though, I can drive the whole family to Wyoming and shoot three goats (the wife usually hunts too, for a total of six if we're lucky) on a DIY hunt on public land or walk-in hunting areas. Couple it with a few days of playing tourist and we have a great family vacation and a big cooler full of great meat at the price of one head. That's the reason I quit looking for landowner tags here in NM - $1,000+ for a two-day hunt for one person.
I'm not knocking it - I'd love to go and take a big ol' goat; and the TX panhandle has some good ones. I'm just adding perspective. Many folks don't want a 14-hour (or more) drive though, and I can't blame them. I don't look forward to it, but the results have been worth it for a couple years now.

Sorry Mark, my response was a little off topic (not hunting antelope in TX). In the current market, I think your offer is very fair, particularly for someone set on a TX pronghorn hunt. I was simply adding a little perspective for the "crowd" that reads these posts but doesn't post.
My apologies, didn't mean to come off as antagonistic. I'd love to come over there and hunt a big 'ol goat with your outfit; it's just not in the cards.

Austin HunterI stand corrected - the last time I checked they were in the $3,500 range; anything under $2K is a good deal.
