Hmmmm, Makes a person wonder. It wasn't too long ago when I saw the same photo with a moose in the same situation. Looks like somebody may be perfecting their photoshop skills. Very interesting picture though.

The moose picture was real. This one also could be. It looks a lot like the area around the Hoover dam where all the power lines run. That area is also full of bighorn sheep.

I didn't even bother to view it (the bottom photo) under very high magnification, but what I saw was enough to tell me that the resolution from the ram doesn't match that of the other items in the photo. True, depth of field has an affect -- but not to the extent which I saw. Then, too, the extremely low resolution coupled with the poor quality of the photo (lack of sharpness/detail) itself make judging its authenticity quite difficult.

If the photo was legit, someone still did a bunch of manipulation to take away any of its credibility. I really DESPISE digital imaging!!!

An obvious fake.

The powerline the ram is suspended from in the top photo doesn't sag but in the bottom photo it does.

Plus... The ram wouldn't look so peaceful if he had died while suspended in this fashion and he would have slid further from the powerpole as he struggled.

The moose picture was real. A group of employees from a local power company were running some electrical cable up the electrical posts. Unknown to them, a moose got tangled on the cable by the antlers. Since they were not near the moose, they had not noticed that the machine had pulled the moose up with the cable.

absolute fake. Take a close look at the patterns on the pole, where the wires connect and how they look.

TOTAL H-O-A-X. don't waste your time thinking it is even close to real.

I was gone most of the week and just got back. I went to the web site that I found this picture, and it is real according to some one who looked into it. HE said it was in British Columbia. Near the Line Creek mine, in SE BC!

I can vouch for the authanticity of the power line and the configuration. It is the real deal.
