An aquaintence regularly checks the racks at the pawn shops. He's made some pretty good deals.

If you are filling in for a friend why don't you ask to borrow his rifle? I'd hate to tell someone not to get a new gun, but if you need it just for this one hunt maybe your friend who cannot go or someone else can loan you an appropriate caliber firearm for the hunt.

I hate the idea of banging someone elses gun up. But for the good news, I just made a trade for a NIB Savage 7mm Mag. Now all I need is some load suggestions.

Try posting a thread titled - Best 7 Mag fact. load for Sav 110? . I think you'll get more quick and to the point responses if the title is more specific. You're in a rush and hooters with the same rifle will have the best advice. Post it on Medium Caliber and Big game BB's. You might try some other BB's as well. American hunters' Elk board etc.
