Long-distance antelope rifle?
The most avid antelope hunters, and the best antelope hunters I know, all seem to use the 25-06 and I'm sure its as good a caliber for the "stinkys" as any..I do book and manage antelope hunts in New Mexico most years...

Reading all these posts about people shooting elk (and bear on TV) with Nosler Ballistic Tips, but this might be the best animal to use B-Tips on. I have seen antelope killed with different calibers from .257 Roberts to .300 WM's. IMHO, this animal might be the archtype for 100 grains B-Tips in a .25 caliber (.257 Roberts, 25'06).

I surely don't like the ballistic tips for deer or elk. I much prefer a .270-130 Nosler Partition for deer. I have killed a bunch of deer with my .270 Winchester Model 70 without having a single one walk away and damned few required a second shot
