Wyoming doe antelope
The bi-annual drinking, eating and antelope trip went well from Sept 22 - 27th. Top_Predator (James) from New Zealand joined me, my brother and some good friends for a doe antelope hunt.

Hi Frank
That explains the recent driving marathon !
Congrats on your hunting success. Good to see the Kiwi participating.
I had to check twice it was you in camo. Makes you look different somwhow Eeker
I like your system of carcase retrieval. I wish a lot of our terrain was level enough that we could do similar here.
What calibres were used and what distances was game taken ?
Congrats again. Good job.
Cheers
Grant

Grant,

That was 1100 miles each way, James couldn't believe some of the 20 mile straight line stretches along the interstates and just the sheer length of the drive. But I think that he slept most of the way as we didn't make him drive any. We dropped him off in Las Vegas on the way home and he caught a flight up to Alberta Canada for a couple of weeks of waterfowl hunting with some friends there.

James used my brother's pre-64 Model 70 in 25.06, I used my Ruger No.1 in 270 Win, the other guys used a 308, a 30.06 and two 7mm Mags. The shots were from 100 - 250 yards.

Fine pictures, looks like a fun hunt.

Hauling them out that way is CHEATING!
You're supposed to carry the stinking things over
your shoulder!!

Glad all of you had a good trip and got your goats.

We all had three buck points (except for James) and we could only draw one doe tag each.

I'd guess Casper, Lyman has more mountains.

I'll be next door in 46 on Saturday trying to fill a buck tag and a doe tag.

46 was our second choice, Tell Burt "Frank from California" said "Hi" if you hunt his place.
