Best American gun writers?
Phil Sharpe's The Rifle was an early book I learned from.

Col. Whelan loved the rifle and was my favorite back then.

Warren Page was innovative and a great one.

O'Connor was a hunting aficionado who admired guns but did not know the details.

Finn Aagaard was very good. Sorry he is gone.

Landis was up on my favorite hunting rifle. The Chuck gun.

Esty wrote of chuck guns as well.

Keith was amusing.

I may read more Ruark. "Use Enough Gun." <--Best book title.

Of the worst gun writers E. Matunas

Get the 'power' or optic that your eye likes instead of what someone else says.

When we go to the doctor they ask us what lens we like!

Do that with your optics.
