DocI've used a feeding doe decoy while archery, muzzleloader, and rifle hunting with excellent success.
I hunt this one huge 125 acre bean/corn field. Many times, the deer will hang up in the wooded creek area adjacent to the field and won't come out til dark or after.
I started putting the decoy out at about 100 yards. When the deer would see it, they'd think all was well and go out to feed.
I'd say I've used a decoy maybe 50 times over the years. Out of that 50 times, I've taken about 40 deer and it was because I used the decoy. The remaining hunts never produced a deer sighting.
