butchlambertWhitetail in Texas
One of my Buds shot this white tail this week. Gary shot him in the neck with a 6BR and a 68grain competition bullet.
It was shot in Doole,Tx which is close to Brady, Tx in Concho County.

StonecreekSuper nice! A typical 12-point (with forked G-1's, no less) is extremely hard to come by. Congratulations to your buddy.
By the way, I believe that the Texas whitetail typical record is still the one from near Brady in McCollough County from about 90 years ago. Most people think of Central Texas deer as puny, but many areas in the Edwards Plateau have the potential to produce fine bucks.
