Has anyone tried Barnes X bullets in this round? I was wondering if a 130 gr X bullet in 7mm would work as a all around bullet in a 1-14 twist 7mm Shultz @ Larsen. I would hate to have to rebarrel a beautiful rifle like this just because of twist rate. I need good info on twist stability. Thanks, Swede96.

Swede96 - I once had a 7x61 Schultz&Larsen m100DL.

It also hat the rediculous 1-14" twist and didn't shoot well with any of the 140 to 160 grains bullets I tried - I got it rebarreled for .300 win. To day I regret that I didn't go for a faster twist and stayd with the 7x61.

Y can rebarrel it easyli with a original Schultz and Larsen barrel with out changing the rifles look! Drop me a e-mail if you want!
