hillbillybearIS ANYONE FAMILIAR WITH THIS RIFLE?
A friend just e-mailed me this link:
http://www.trackofthewolf.com/consign_detail.asp?con sign_num=m84&txtSearch=williams%20souper&styleID=266&catID=12&subID=78
concerning the Williams Souper Rifle. It is an interesting item but I don't recall ever having seen or heard anything about it. Does anyone know anything about one of these?
The site also recommends DeHaas' book on single-shots as a source. Does anyone have a copy handy to look this piece up?
Thanks for the Help,
HBB

<ovis>HBB,
There is reloading information in "Any Shot You Want", the A-square Manual, on the Souper, along with a brief history of the cartridge.

<Elliot Viker>is not the souper a 308 win necked down to 257 cal? A 25-308 to give an idea. I think it would be simular to the 257 roberts in performance this due to higher pressure than what is ok for older roberts, but about the same as a moderen +p 257.
