JohnTheGreekFunky Bison Rug!
Anybody ever think of mounting a Bison this way.
Dimensions are 11.5' long by 9' wide. NEAT!

Pecos41I reckon that will work so long as you don't catch a foot in the horns. Wonder if it would be more impressive tacked to a wall if you've got that much space without covering a window?

Aspen Hill AdventuresThat's probably designed for a wall mount. I may have that done with my whitetail buck as he had an interesting row of spots down the length of his back. It is an interesting mount but remember how big a bison's head is! That would take up a lot of space on the floor.

DennisHPI saw the same setup only with a Blue Wildebeast and it looked awsome. I wish I had a pic.

SteinyAs long as you're decorating with dead animals ... I like it !

JohnTheGreekSteiny,
"Decorating with dead animals" is a bit of an understatement. I am single and went on a bit of a hunting tear over the last year. I also just moved into a new little place and the remodel is about done and crates have started to arrive. I will post photos when the place is completely put together.

SteinyBankruptcy via taxidermy .... What a way to go.
Just picked up a coyote and wolf pelt myself and have a caribou and black bear at the taxidermist. Hope to whack a big whitetail pretty soon too.
Martha Stewart might frown on our decorating tastes, but who cares. What do you think ...
rabbit fur placemats
bear skull centerpiece
maybe a racoon to hang on the front door

JohnTheGreekSteiny,
Yup, it is a pretty good way to go. One Africa crate arrived about 3 months ago (currently sitting in a buddies warehouse) and the other is in L.A. as my shipping agent is being good enough to sit on it for a week or so while my floors are being finished. Also have a smattering of N.A. game including two bison (one here and the other curently at the taxidermist in Canada) and a third which will be hunted in December.
It took some serious efforts to figure out where all this stuff is going to go in my 700 square foot cabin.

Glad I'm not married I can tell you that!

There is going to be a definite shortage of wall space in a week or so.
Where did you shoot your wolf?? I would have loved to have taken one last year when I was in Canada but they weren't cooperating.

Mike SmithJohn I like the decorating concept but the eyes look strange to me. Maybe it is just the way the pic comes out. You have got to post some pics of your place once you get settled in. I am always interested in seeing some elses vision.

RMKHell john, you might find out that those horns work just like handlebars. For those one on one tutoring sessions with female students.

JohnTheGreekMike,
I think the eyes look a bit goofy too. Fortunately, I am just considering this mounting style for a bison I hope to take in December. I will have to make sure my taxidermist does a little better job on mine
RMK,
I AM SHOCKED! I WOULD NEVER CONSIDER SUCH A THING

(At least not on a public forum)

The temptation to do as you suggest is, without a doubt, the toughest part of my job.
