Steiny10ga slugs !
I'd hate to shoot the dang things. The hot 12ga slugs just about 'shell shock' me after a session sighting in my rifled slug deer gun each fall.

swampfoxIthaca made a slug version of its "Mag-10" 3 shot semi-auto for a while. It was called the "Roadblocker" and marketed to the cops as being capable of shooting through an engine block.
The Mag-10 sounds scary but because of its great weight and gas operation, it actually recoils much less than many 12 gauge slug guns.
The gun is marketed now with minor changes as the Remington SP-10, but not with a slug barrel to my knowledge. Mores the pity.
I believe that federal is the only one unless there is some foreign company that I don't know about. And actually the 10 ga slugs punish me less than the ones from my 12ga because the gun is so much heavier. As an interesting side note, I have a 10 ga double that will shoot the fedrals to within 3 inches of each other at 50 yards, now tell me that isn't a freak gun!!! Kind of like a poor mans 10 bore double rifle.

Dave JamesFederal is the only one in this area that puts them out,I do use them in a Mag-10 with a 26" bbl that has been ported and had a choke tube system put on,30 yards and under deer and bear are hit like you had walked up and hit them over the head with a pole axe. When we practice at the range I have had several people tell me thay can see them go down range when standing behind me.

TanooseI asked about the 10 gauge slugs because i just sent my single shot nef to the factory to have a new barrel fitted ,its a 24" cyl. bore with fully adjustable rifle sights . I figured what the hell it was only $53.50 plus $10.00 shipping and now i have a back up shotgun for deer. I would think it will do fine to 50 yds. As for heavier game i am not sure i will tell you that the Feeeral slugs are .75 caliber they weigh 766 grains and they move at around 1250 fps. Later Dave

Washington HunterTanoose, All I have to say is you've got to be crazy! If you shoot those 10 gauge slugs out of that lightweight single shot, you're going to break your shoulder!

TanooseNot sure what it will weigh with the 24" but with my 32" barrel it weighs in at 10 1/2 pounds. I took out the 1 1/2 pound bar from the stock and at 9 pounds it easier to carry all day but yes it kicks like a mule. But its fun to shoot. Later Dave
