Heading to montanta tomorrow for elk
Been hearing some good reports from the ranch I'll be hunting on should be fun my 338 wm well be my main rifle and my 300wm the back up.

Shot them both out to 500 both well have no trouble when I do my part. But I would like a nice 200 yard standing broad side. The 300 did a nice 1.5 inch group at 200 the other day.

The 338 does around 2.5 at 200

Gear in bags and piles, check list being checked off weather report looks about perfect.

Now only to get there safely and shoot a bull.

Tell us how it goes. There are too many stories about wolf predation's reducing the herds in MT and I am a little concerned.
