As soon as I saw the gumboots and shorts ( pants ) I knew this was New Zealand, and not the USA.
However, agree with Saeeds comment re lack of intelligence.
Just yesterday I came through the town of Taumarunui where this McDonalds is located. It's a small backwater country town and he probably got away with his stunt there. Probably even caused some amusement with the locals. Still, I would say the guy was young, and stupid and lucky to avoid explaining his antics to the local cops.
