Reduced price cow / calf
Can any of you WY residents give me any info on a area where I have a good chance to kill a cow elk. I may wait and see if any are still available after the reg elk draw. I shot a cow in area 49 five yrs ago but had to pay a tresspass fee. I'do it again if the fee was reasonable.

Area 21 will normally have left over Cow/calf tags. Mostly public land and has large number of elk.

Ted,
Last time I hunted area 49 I paid $150 tresspass fee for cow elk. I don't need or want a guided cow elk hunt and will pay up to $200 for a TP fee.

Gotlost. Thanks for the tip. I'll look at the stats on this area. Buying the left over tag give me time to see if I drew a special tag here in WA state which is a long shot at best. I have one antelope point so I may be able to hunt both on one hunt.
Thanks to the both of you again for the info.
