Gun safes have been discussed here on AR.
There is another item that might be of intrest to AR members. It is a roll down "door" that you fit inside a closet.
It can also be made in a size for regular doors so you could use it for a safe/secure room.

kudu56Any mention of cost? I like it, not as secure as my safe, but nice way to lock a closet, and slow some one down getting to my excess stuff!

kudu56Not bursting my bubble, depends on how the closet is configured and where it lies in relation to bedroom walls. I just want some thing to slow them down, gun safes are full, no more room for any more, I have an interior closet that is full of hunting and shooting crap, as my wife calls it. And a few more rifles and shotguns. The closet door, as shown is similar to mine, and can be opened with a clothes hanger. In an afternoon and maybe a hundred bucks, I could line the closet with 5/8 osb, and then one of these doors. Just a deterant not a safe!

N E 450 No2The price of the standard size is $975.00.
OLBIKER Yes I do know how to kick through a wall, usually I used det cord and a trash bag full of water...
But, IF you want to harden your closet, some chain link fence and some 3/4" plywood, or even sheet "tin", aluminium, or steel can be used...
It is all a matter of money and time.
Back in the day it was called "Target Hardening".
This is a quality product and is fairly easy to install.
If you have a large "walk in" closet it would be cost effective as well.
