Elk in MONTANA SUX !!!!
I like killing Spike ELK and DOE deer. When Greenhorn (Russles buddy [Wink] ) couldn't go hunting this weekend I talk to Weekend Warrior (MAybe on this board you know him as FAT PRONGS ?~?).. I told him I wanted a 300-400 Class bull.. thinking one like this :

 -

WELL... OF course I was thinking METRIC... 300mm is about 12"s.... YOU know... 25.4mm = 1"

WELL little did I know in Montana...

THEY USE ENGLISH !!!!

SURE... DON'T TELL LITTLE OL' MOOSIE !!!!!!

THAT basterd Weekend warior told me the bull was OK to shoot so I dropped it...

LITTLE did I know untill I got to it that it was a bit bigger then I wanted... ALL I wanted was a SPIKE... MONTANA SUX Because I came home with this CHEESY BIG Multipoint looking ELK....

I'm thinking it's a bit large.. MAYBE I need to saw some length off ?!?!? I'll post the pictures so you'll see why I'm SO MAD At Weekend Warrior and Montana with their DAM BIG ELK....

 -

DOES EVERYONE AGREE I GOT ROBBED OF THE SMALL ELK !!!!! [Wink] MAybe I should HIRE RUSSLESS TILLERS guide to help me locate a SPIKE ELK..

Moosie, Moosie, Moosie,
What are we going to do with you.......
Haven't you figured out that those little pointie things on top of the head called antlers, are for SERIOUS trophy hunters and NOT to be shot by folks looking for does [Big Grin]

Seriously, Congratulations on a VERY sucessful hunt!

Sorry Moosie
Because you weren't wearing bib overalls, I knew you wouldn't be able to handle the mountains much longer so I tricked you into shooting the first elk we saw. If we would have kept going, I thinke we would have eventually found a good spike for you.
By the way, did you get a chance to measure the entrance hole on that elk? What was the worst growl you heard while hunting this year?

By the way,
Remember that big fat guy we saw fall off that horse at the trail head? We heard a big crash and swear words and then there was this big heap of blaze orange flopping on the ground. I think he had on a pair of brand new bib overalls.

in Montana that's called a non-typical spike--although an exceptional non-typical spike it's a spike thru and thru---congrats--chris

Moosie,

I love your pose with the spike.

Obviously a spoof of gun rag photos where the hunter holds the rack like it was a dirty diaper and the wide angle lens does the rest.

These cheesy techniques didn't seem to be necessary with the other. Congratulations.
