The wife and I both own Sauer 3000 Drillings in 12x12x30/06, with scopes in claw mounts.

On both our guns the 30/06 barrels are very accurate.

However, of ALL the drillings I have fired over the years, the Sauer 3000 handles the best for wing shooting.

I had rather bird hunt with my Sauer 3000 than my Browning Citori, or my Benelli semiauto.

And with its 30/06 barrel, and its scope in my back pocket I am ready for shots to 300 yards on coyotes, wild pigs, deer, black bear, etc...

OK it is not a 3" Goose gun, but I have killed several ducks and turkeys with it.

And the wife and I took them to Zimbabwe and killed a bunch of different kinds of birds with them.

My wife killed a trophy Kudu, and a MONSTER Warthog, with her 30/06 barrel while she was bird hunting and just happened upon them.

Which is what a Drilling is all about.

The Sauer Drilling is my wifes favorite hunting gun.

With a 12x12x30/06, you can kill any game in America for sure, and find ammo ANYWHERE, even Walmart, or more important, even in small towns near where any hunting is done.

IF I could have only one Hunting shotgun, it would be my Sauer 3000 Drilling.

Too much tire kicking and not enough serious...
