Breakdown of BRNO ZH 205 Combination Gun
Would anyone know how to take this gun down? There doesn't appear to be a fore end latch. I'm afraid to just pull on the fore end for fear I'll break something. Here's a link to some photos of one:

Big Bore FanHi Allan,
you must push the bolt (red arrow), left or right, I don´t know at the moment

. Than you can take down the barrels. It´s a little difficult.
Martin
No luck yet. That bolt won't move with finger pressure. Time to break out the nylon punch.

Big Bore FanHmmm......
But I know, this is the way to take it down. Push the left or the right, or both of this bolts/pins.
I mean the gun must be opened for this.
Martin
I did find that the button pushed in on the left side and I can slide the barrel a little way so that the button won't come back out. I haven't yet figured out how to complete the disassembly, but I didn't work long at it.

Big Bore FanFor a few minutes, I asked my dad.
And my description is correct, but the take down is very difficult. After pushing the bolts, at open gun, you must went back, in the action, with the barrels.
Saturday, I´m at my dad´s gun store, and than I will search a manual about this rifle. He means, he have one.
Martin
I never did get that gun apart, so since I sold it I shipped it assembled. I have two more to sell so I'll keep experimenting.

Big Bore FanHi Allan,
my dad doesn´t have a manual about this rifle, but he will ask a friend, a other gunsmith, about this.

Freestate101I had a 3 barrel set I picked up in Germany in 75, 28" 12 Ga. Mod/Full; 12 Ga. 26" skeet/skeet with built in comps.; 24" 7x57R over 12 Ga. Full with quick det. scope mount. Nice rig for a very reasonable price. The take-down procedure was as follows: 1. Break open 2. push in and hold left pin. 3. push back on barrels and lift up on barrels. This procedure will require a little getting used to, but becomes second nature the more you use the gun. Hope this helps.

Vol717I finally did get it apart. The part that was stumping me is that I didn't realize that the barrels hinge on trunnions on the insides of the frame. To disassemble, open the action, push in the pin and lift up on the barrels. It practically jumped into my hand. I tried for a bit to put them back on but since this gun was sold, I didn't play with it very much. I packed it up and got it ready to ship out. I have two more guns to sell, as this gun is being traded for a 12/7X57R with an extra double shotgun barrel set. I still have one more 5.6X52R gun as well. About the time I sell the last gun I'll figure it out. By the way, does anyone know of a source of a quick detach scope mount for this gun, especially anyone in Germany? If you can tell me the model of the Recknagel mount that fits, I can order that directly.
Thanks.

Vol717OK I figured it out. First you remove the screw that holds the extractor in place and slide out the extractor. You don't have to remove the extractor but it gives you a little more leeway in working on the gun. To break down, open the action, remove the extractor, push in the takedown button and pull the barrels straight up. The reassembly flies in the face of all other assembly in that you don't hook the lugs over the pin. You keep the receiver and barrels parallel and slide the action down over the barrels until the receiver touches the takedown pin, push in the pin, and keep pushing the receiver on to the barrels until it closes. I did it a couple times and got better each time. The third time I left the extractor in place and did it just as well.
I have another ZKK205 coming in with two barrel sets, 12/7X57R and double 12 GA barrels. I have a set of 11mm scope mounts but I still need a quick detach mount set to make the set even more flexible.
