dedsevenI do not have information on what twist individual manufacturers use, but the CIP specification (as of 2007) for twist rate is 1 turn in 200mm for both the 6.5x65 RWS and the 6.5x65R RWS.

McFoxIn the early days of this cartridge the twist used to be longer. It was originally designed to sport 6 gramm bullets.
This gave quite some precision issues when trying to load heavier projectiles.
I don't have the details at hand, but when dealing with an older model I would check the twist rate before buying it.

yesthanks for replies. i had my doubt about that this caliber had two kind of twist one with sharp and one slower in some guns, but usually the new barrels have sharp twist for stabilizing long monolitic leadfree bullets.
cheers
